Introduction

The Castle is the main attraction and Landmark of Leros It was build at the 11th century by the Byzantine empiror Alexios Komnenos and it was given to the Bishop Hristodulos as well with the Castle of Patmos island.It was later occupide by the St.John's Knight's and Later on By the Ottomans.Today the Castle of Leros or To Kastro tis Panagias (Holly Mary's Castle) remains the main attraction of the Island of Leros.
