Tradition celebrates at the Greek Folk Dances Theatre in the Old Town of Rhodos


Greek tradition stays alive at the Folk Dances Theatre by Nelly Dimoglou in the Old Town of Rhodos. There, folk dances performances with live music and traditional costumes take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The dancing group has given more than 12.000 performances in Greece and abroad and it is internationally recognized.

The Greek Folk Dances Theatre by Nelly Dimoglou was established in 1971. Its activities include:

--Seminars of Greek traditional dances for Greeks and foreigners, in Rhodos, Athens and abroad.
--Lessons of Greek traditional dances to several Municipalities, schools, cultural associations etc.
--Workroom for the maintenance and reproduction of the Greek traditional costumes.
--Finally, in an effort to forward the Greek tradition to foreign people, it has founded groups of Greek folk dances in many countries.
