Introduction
The National Theatre of Rhodos is an impressive building ideally located in the Town Hall Square. It is one of the finest specimens of the International and the Fascistic style of architecture.
The innovative manner in which glass bricks have been used in this magnificent edifice is truly outstanding.Of special importance is the performance hall, which is rather high and quite long.
 The Performance Hall is recognizable by its spacious balcony, theater boxes and a well stocked bar.
The National Theatre of Rhodos was in 1937 by an anonymous architect.Initially the edifice was referred to as the "Teatro Puccini".
It used to be one of the most up to date theatres of its era, so much so that even operas were performed. Presently the theater serves a dual purpose, theatrical performances and as a cinema in rhodos island.
