Introduction
Rodini Park in the island of Rhodes,
Greece is a spot that even the mere mention of may instantly

or necropolis (city of the dead) was also built in the park
during the 3rd century and even now, we can look upon
tombstones and carved figures that are several centuries
old. Even the tomb of Ptolemaeus (more widely known as
Ptolemy), that famed mathematician, astronomer, geographer,
and astrologer from ancient Roman times, can be found lying
in Rodini park, Rhodes.

As mentioned before, aside from being a splendid place that
combines human aesthetics with natural beauty, Rodini Park
is also a site for rich history, art and culture. Being the
location for the School of Rhetoric meant that Rodini Park,
Rhodes was the second home to Greek and Roman geniuses,
politicians, playwrights, philosophers, kings and emperors.
The impeccably landscaped Rodini Park is renowned for its
cool and tranquil atmosphere. This beautiful park is ideally
located just outskirts of the town. It is a mere 3 Kms away
from the city center of Rhodes. The park is replete with
trees like Cypress and Pine. There is also a swift flowing

The Rodini Park
has the unique distinction of being the world’s first
landscaped park. This park was very popular with the Romans
and they even built an aqueduct here. Inside the park’s
