of the Dodecanesse, Dimokratias Street.Rhodes
Municipal (formerly "National") Stadium is named
after Diagoras, a famous Olympic boxing champion of
antiquity who came from the island.
The stadium was constructed during the Italian
occupation of the Dodecanesse islands. The cycling
track around the pitch is still used to this day.
The stadium has stands on three sides, the most
characteristic of these being the north curve with
the clock over its entrance.
The colours of the seats (green-white and
blue-red) refer to Rhodos and Diagoras, the two
clubs which call this stadium home.
