Introduction
This olive tree is 300 years old. The village Kalathos,
where is located the Primary School Pedopoleos, is a small
village in the eastern part of Rhodes. Its distance from the
city of Rodos is 50km and it is built amphitheatrically in
the mountain "Kalathos", after which it was named.
The building of the community.
In the opposite side of the village and in a distance of
1km, there is a magnificent beach and in the south side of
the village in a distance of 500m there is the establishment
of Pedopoleos, where live about 200 orphan children (boys
only) from all over Greece.
Outside of the village there is the main street, which
connects the city of Rodos and Lindos and with all the other
villages of the east side.
