HISTORY OF THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION OF YOUTH
& ATHLETIC EXERCISE OF RHODOS

The club was founded in 1990 and it operates as a legal person of the public sector. The board consists of 11 persons and the president is the Mayor or the sub Mayor or a councilman or another person. The board is re-elected every 2 years.
GOALS
The goals of the club are:
The evolution of mass athletics, hiring for this purpose specialized personnel
The growth of the physical and the mental capabilities of the people, the growth of the competitive spirit without fanaticism, antagonism and profit making as well as the socialization of the public
The creation of athletic centers in the neighborhoods, to cover the increased demand of the public and specially of the young people
The maintenance and the right operation of the athletic places all over the city of Rhodos.
The advising of the young persons in the contemporary methods of the science and the technology and the spread of the civilization and the history of Rhodos
The study of the ways and the means for the adaptation of the children and the young people in the social life as active and conscious democratic citizens
The organization of athletic events of all the sports locally-in Greece and internationally
SOCIAL PROCESS
One of the above mentioned goals is the evolution of the mass athletics, which we try to pursue organizing public events or organizing them with other constitutions of the city. We also try to maintain and operate right the athletic places, and getting technical advice on behalf of the Municipality of Rhodes in order to operate better the athletic places of Rhodos.
Also the club has established fellowships which are given to athletes from Rhodos, which had a distinct career in Grecian level.
At the end of the year, in a special celebration, are given out the financial support of Municipality of Rhodos in all the clubs of Rhodos.
